Accessibility Statement
Living Better After 50 is committed to making our website accessible and usable for everyone. Our goal is to meet or exceed the
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What We’re Doing
- Readable design: large body fonts, clear headings, and simple layouts.
- Color contrast: high-contrast text and links for legibility.
- Keyboard navigation: pages can be navigated without a mouse; visible focus states.
- Skip links: “Skip to content” options to jump past repeated navigation.
- Alt text: descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
- Responsive pages: accessible on phones, tablets, and desktops.
Compatibility & Assistive Technology
We aim to support current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox) and common assistive technologies such as screen readers and text enlargement tools.
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We review new and existing content regularly and roll out improvements over time. Some legacy or third-party content (e.g., embeds or widgets) may not fully meet our standards yet, but we work to provide accessible alternatives when possible.
